Communication Lost…a Message Home
Mixed Media, LED, Acrylic, Tin, Paint
Suspended in an unresponsive orbit, a lone figure reaches for the home he’ll never touch again. This work captures the fracture between intention and reception—the raw silence when a message goes unanswered, or worse, unheard. The Earth glows just out of reach, framed by ghosted transmissions and obsolete codes. “NO SIGNAL.” “COMMUNICATION LOST.” There is no reply.
Crafted as both relic and ritual, this illuminated capsule is part artifact, part confession. The figure is caught mid-sentence—still moving forward, still transmitting, even as the signal fades. Every layer holds tension: analog vs. digital, memory vs. myth, Earth vs. Elsewhere.
This is not just a portrait of distance. It’s a love letter that never lands.
